Does anybody knows differences between earlier and later models? How long extends the 810M (older model)?

No major differences, maybe another water bubble level on the back panel. I have the 810M and the movements are all the same.

Yes differences are rather cosmetic and not numerous. The covers of knobs (plus the colour of many other parts) are Black on MII instead of silver on old version - from this you can distinguish what version it is. The biggest difference is that the MII vesrion has revolving front standard which can be used to get extra room for focus on extra long FL lens. Alongside with this, the newer version has lighter bellows which is usually deteriorated much worse than the one on older version because the fabrics peels of and makes the bellows not lightproof. Osewise there is no other difference than the difference in rotation on front standard and all accesories should be compatible to both version....

The plate that allows the front standard to rotate on the mII can be installed on the M giving the longer bellows draw. Also, according to a telephone conversation with Toyo (IN U.S.) the bellows from the MII and GII do not mount on the M (something about the bellows frames), which seemed odd given everything else is interchangeable.

I use a Bone colored 810m, If you live in a warm climate (soon to be everywhere it seems) it does make a considerable difference in working with the lovely beast!

Just saw the date of the original post, oh well, I should have had more coffee before logging on.

Any 810M or M2 is going to need a new bellows if the original is still installed. This is age-related deterioration and has nothing to do with how the camera was used. The 810M bellows came with the front frame of the 45G series, the 810M2 with the front frame of the 45G2 series. This is only a factor if you intend to use that bellows on an 8X10G2 and then only if you try to mount a lens in a recessed lens board.

Something similar to both models: used examples on auction sites seem to be missing the locking latch from the bottom bed. Are replacement parts available?

I think the best way is to contact a member B.S.Kumar here - I have great experiece with getting replacement pieces for Toyo cameras from him. Another idea is to contact directly Toyo or its representatives....
