Hello all, I finally worked out development times for acros and perceptol at 1+3 dilution while hand rolling with a jobo tank. I am going to be experimenting with hp5 for when I need more speed with a film. Does anyone have suggestions for a starting point? I would like to expose at 200/250 b/c at 1+3 dilution perceptol loses speed. digital truth gives 25 min with perceptol 1+3 when exposed at box speed, but that is obviously not overexposed, and not for constant agitation that i will be giving with 2553. Does anyone have dev time figured out for this combo?

Thanks, John

I am using Perceptol 1:2 for HP5 (and 1:3 for Acros). Film is rated @200, and time in Jobo was 14:30 min at 21C. I believe I got this reference from Barry Thornton book, his time was 11:30 at 24C and ISO 160. I like this combination, never tried 1:3 for HP5.
Here (http://www.flickr.com/photos/santonov/3918192717/) is an example.

Thanks,
This is just what I was after. I will use your times and adjust for my shooting style accordingly...

Do you use a presoak with Hp5? I always do it with Acros (5 min) but don't know if its necessary or advised for Hp5.

Yes, I do presoak for all films when developer is not Xtol. I use Jobo CPA, so it is easy. I am doing presoak for 4-5 min, as recommended in Jobo documents.
