I have a vintage Gitzo Studex Performance tripod that I'd like to sell but I can't seem to figure out the model number. I think it's a 320 but it has four piece legs so I am not sure.

Does anyone know?

Thank you,

Rick

The 320 had three leg sections; this one looks like a 326. Specs I have show

Height: 0–90 inches
Folded length: 22 inches
Weight: 6.5 lb

If these match, that's probably what you have. If not, it could be one of several models that made brief appearances; I can't be much help there.

Gitzo talk for key features:

Performance (leg spreading)
Two-section rapid (i.e., non-geared) column

The head looks like a 372 Rational 3B.

It's about 19" collapsed and 82" extended. The weight is just over 9 pounds. The main leg tubes are 1 1/4".

Thanks,

Rick

Does the weight include the head? If so, that's about for the combo (6.5 lb for the legs and 2.5 lb for the head). With 1 1/4″ legs, it's definitely a 3-series (“Studex”). The lengths don't match anything in my old catalog; it's possible the specs are off a bit, but it's also possible that it's an odd model that wasn't on the market very long. I can't remember when the legs changed from clear anodize to black, but I'd guess that it was around 20 years ago.

Thanks Jeff. I appreciate the help.

Do you want to buy it? :p
