Does anyone know when this lens was introduced?
I have some Nikon large format lens catalogues, and was surprised that this lens doesn't feature in any of them. The only M series lenses listed are the 105mm, 300mm and 450mm.
I'm not sure how old the catalogues are (I got them on eBay), but the references on the back are 8237-02 on one, 8311 on another, and 83.3 on the third. I'd assumed these translated as 1982 and 1983.
So was the 200mm introduced afterwards, or dropped before then?
Thanks.

Not sure if this will help but the warranty card for my 200mm M was printed in JAN of 1994.

Thanks Eric, so it looks like the release date of the lens was after the catalogues, assuming the catalogues are early 1980s.

I don't know when the 200 M was introduced, but it was a current product to the very end - it was discontinued with Nikon's withdrawal from the LF lens market not that long ago. Specifications are still posted on Nikon Japan's website, in a section devoted to recently discontinued products.

I have a 1986 brochure that shows the 105M, 200M, 300M and 450M, in all black Copal shutters. Hope that helps. If you need any of the spec data I would be glad to get it to you.

If my brochures are from 1983, it seems the lens must have been introduced in 1984 or 1985.
