Just got a email about this and thought I would pass it along.
Gordon Osmundsun (http://www.ihpworkshops.com/) will be giving a presentation of his work tonight from 6:30-9:30pm at City College of San Francisco as part of the class "Photo 52: Photographers and Their Images." His work has appeared in Lenswork (issue #42) and elsewhere.
Black & white photography, if it is done well, has a special intensity about it that can be greater than that of the actual subject itself. I believe the job of being an artist is to express something familiar but in a new way. When I am shooting … all of me is shooting. - Gordon Osmundsun
There will be about 30 pieces of Gordon's original 16x20" black and white prints on display before and right after his talk. I believe these are some of his work on the Nevada Northern Railway.
This event is free to attend and open to the public. Parking on a campus lot costs $3.
