I was wondering if anyone could point me to any information regarding this lens? It doesn't have a shutter with it. I assume it would work with a 5x4 view camera OK. Any ideas to image quality? What type/size of shutter would fit it?

Many thanks in advance, Kris.

You can start here:

Google Schneider 135 convertible. You will find some dislike it. Others don't.

The one point I could add is that if it is not in a shutter then you should probably pass unless you have a shutter hanging around. Buying the lens and the shutter is going to likely be more expensive than buying something like the 135 Symmar S (non-convertible)

I believe the symmar-s has basically as good performance as a convertible, it just wasn't advertised as one, and doesn't have the dual aperture scale. If you can find a Caltar Symmar-S 135mm they can be a cheaper way of getting essentially the same lens, I got one in very good condition for $179 or something from KEH.
