Ok, Ektar 100 is coming, so I am thinking about C-41 processing again.
I have checked Kodak website, SM tank chemicals are recommended for rotary tubes. So I went to BH website and checked them out

Flexicolor SM (C-41SM) Tank Developer for Color Negative Film - Makes 2 Liters
Flexicolor SM (C-41SM) Tank Bleach for Color Negative Film - Makes 2.7 Liters
Flexicolor SM (C-41SM) Tank Fixer for Color Negative Film - Makes 3.9 Liters
Flexicolor SM (C-41SM) Tank Final Rinse

Why don't they make the chemicals in identical volumes? what am I supposed to do with 0.7 liters Bleach and 1.9 liter Fixer left, when I used up my Developer?

Then I checked freestyle they seems offer a c-41 kit under Arista's brand, Has anyone tried them?

I should as soon as my last batch of Tetenal runs out. Seeing that Jobo-AG is no more, I'll probably have to switch to Arista.

If you will be pocessing with a rotary tube (e.g., a Jobo), then the best and least costly chemistry is Kodak. You will ned the following:

Developer http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/27583-REG/Kodak_1919042_Flexicolor_C_41_Developer_Replenisher.html

Developer Starter: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/27592-REG/Kodak_1953009_Flexicolor_C_41_Developer_Starter.html

Fix: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/27600-REG/Kodak_1693837_Flexicolor_C_41_Fixer_.html

Bleach: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/126541-REG/Kodak_8824690_Flexicolor_SM_C_41SM_Tank.html

Final Rinse/Stablizer: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/218301-REG/Kodak_1925254_Flexicolor_SM_C_41SM_Tank.html

The Flexicolor Bleach III products available in 1, 5, 12.5 and up are being discontinued and replaced with the same packaged in smaller packages for a lot more bucks. However if you look around, you can still find some that are still available. For example, I just purchased the 12.5 Gal Bleach III kit: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/27570-REG/Kodak_8184038_Flexicolor_C_41_Bleach_III.html which will last me for years. As long as the bleach is not kept at a very low temperature, it will last indefinate. Also, you can reuse the bleach, fix and stablizer after the first use - see the kodak pubs on the Kodak website for process, mixing, etc. You toss the developer - one shot only for rotary processing.

The stablizer is also being repackaged in smaller containers for more bucks. It also will last indefinetly. Toss it when you see micro organisims growing in it. However you can still find, here and there, the 5L bottles which sold for ~$6.00.

Most photogs on this website are B&W or E-6 types. For more help on C-41 processing and printing visit the apug site.

I get my C-41 and RA-4 chemistry from these folks http://www.minilab.com/index.asp
I use Fuji-Hunt chemistry for both C-41 and RA-4 and process my film in a Jobo Expert Drum with a CPA processor. You can mix up only as much chemistry as you need from concentrate. I am very happy with the results from this chemistry and the minilab store is a great place to buy the chemistry.

Unless B&H has changed its policy they won't ship the chemicals, in store purchase only. I've always had to go to Adorama to get it shipped.

No, B&H won't ship but Calumet will and if it's listed on their website you can have it shipped to your local store without having to pay the shipping charges. They will special orde it for you, but then you'll have to pay the shipping and Hazmat charges as it is shipped direct from Kodak.

To find a Kodak dealer, visit http://www.kodak.com/global/en/professional/support/resourceLocators/tradDealers/tradDealerSearch.jhtml?form=listbox&productFamilyCode=11

and select the "stockhouse" option.

Photographers' Formulary just released a one liter C-41 kit (http://www.photoformulary.com/DesktopModules/StoreProductDetails.aspx?productID=1393&tabid=0&tabindex=0&categoryid=0&selection=0&langId=0&Search=c-41). There's been some discussion about it over on APUG.

Kodak makes this chemistry specific to use in small tank processors as in mini lab machines,... transport machines, the chemicals you have listed are not for home use or for rotary tank process. To my knowledge they do not supply a home use C41 kit.

Hi Sam;

Tetenal is a separate company from Jobo. I speak with both companies, OS distributes for both and I work for OS.

I should as soon as my last batch of Tetenal runs out. Seeing that Jobo-AG is no more, I'll probably have to switch to Arista.

One more small tidbit of info, marketed under Jobo Press kit OS has powdered C41 mix that makes one liter. Its extremely easy to use, I also produces very good results from what I can tell. Over on Apug there is the Photo engineer that contends that mixes that incorporate Bleach and Fixer are not as stable over time. In otherwords your film dyes may deteriorate more rapidly. That stated the Jobo Press kit is not made by Tetenal and is not supplied by Jobo. Its a separate deal that OS has with a US maker....so unless the demand and we sell a fair amount shrinks it will continue to be supplied...It also is not haz mat restricted.
