Just heard that CS5 PS will be released on April 12th. Just wondering if anything has leaked as to improvements? I has thought that CS5 PS would now be 64 BIT on MAC platform...

It's not really a release, but a launch.

Looks as if they have made some definite improvements for those of us that work in HD video. I may need to upgrade from CS4 to CS5 for that reason alone.

Here's one (http://www.pcpro.co.uk/blogs/2010/03/24/photoshop-cs5-demonstrates-its-stunning-new-party-piece/) to raise purist hackles: content-aware filler. Watch the demo.

I *really* could have used this on the project I just worked on!

just watched a demo on the content aware feature. Quite impressive, though I would feel like I am cheating if I use it. Still if that kind of trickery is needed, this would be a huge time saver!

Wow! that content aware filler would have saved me literally weeks of work when I was designing my own advertising back in the days of photoshop 6.0

I just spent the past winter digitally restoring old family photographs that were in pretty bad shape. It seemed like there were a million or so scratches, spots and areas on the originals that were missing altogether. The photos ranged from the 1800's to a few years ago. Content Aware capability could have saved me a whole lot of time.

1) sell DSLR camera and buy cs5
2) create new blank file, do select all and content aware fill
3) ???
4) profit.

Won't work. No content! Maybe start with a single 18% gray pixel?

2) ?
3) Profit.

There's Inpaint http://www.teorex.com/inpaint.html that does something very similar.
