I remember running version 1 on my Mac Plus (SE?) and eating lunch while it ran a contrast adjustment on a 700k file. Boy-oh-boy, we have come a long way.
Indeed.
Although some of us apparently still long for the year prior and wish we stayed there... :)
I started when I switched to Mac, right before the version 4 came out. Current (CS4) version is the only one I skipped since then.

I remember PS 2 in the 1990's. And no that's not a game console! :D

A day that will live in infamy....
The begining of the end....
The tool of the Devil.

Started with version 2.5 in my first semester in college (1994). We ended up with version 3.0 before the end of that semester. I recall immediately discovering the cloning tool (rubber stamp) and placing a third eyeball on the forehead of a baby within the first 30 minutes of using it.
:D
