Has anyone got any idea what has happened to Foma 200 sheet film. The only place in the world that seems to stock it is Fomaphoto in Norway. They're not in the Euro Zone but they trade in Euros and Foma film is not made in Norway anyway.
Help!
Pete.

From another forum I understand they are out of production due to lack of a particular material.

I have one box, and have not even had a chance to test it.

Thanks Robert. It all seems a bit silly..........what are they playing at????

Foma is the only cheap LF thing we have here in Norway, even with the 25% tax. So whatever they play, I hope they won't stop.

Supposedly they are reformulating the film and intent to make it again some time in the future.

I've just got he hang of Foma 100 and 200 and I'm happy with the results that I'm getting, but I like the 200. I've got some in the freezer though but the uncertainty is still a pain.

I believe this is the same thing as Arista 200, readily available here.

I bought 2 of the last 3 boxes of Foma-branded 8x10 from Freestyle, and you can see a lot of black spots and tiny holes in the emulsion under magnification which are not visible to my unaided eyes. So I'd think it would be fine for contact prints, but maybe less so for enlarging. I shot it along with Ilford FP4+, which had perfect emulsion.

Cheers, Steve

Thanks for the link. It explains the problem, lets hope that they find a solution soon.
