View Full Version : 120 Velvia availability in Scotland

As the title suggests, can someone please let me know if 120 rolls of Velvia are easy to get in Scotland (esp. Glasgow and Edinburgh)?

Trying to decide between taking a real camera or an X-Pan...

Calumet UK shows it in stock. You could check with them re their Glasgow and Edinburgh stores, possibly have some sent there if it's not a regular stock item.

I have a couple of weeks' work in Glasgow and Livingston, so
have a weekend were I can head back to the Highlands.

Any idea on getting onto Rannoch Moor at the moment?

Any other suggestions for this time of year? I can possibly stay in Fort William for a night or 2...

There a lot of choice Lachlan.

Glen Nevis is great if your staying in Fort William. You park the car at the last car park and take a walk through the Glen. This is where they filmed bits of Harry Potter/Brave Heart/Rob Roy. You could spend a long time just there. The river that runs through the glen -River Nevis- has some rock formations that are nothing short of spectacular.

For more open landscape theres Glen Coe and Rannoch Moor with Loch Nan-Achlaise and Loch Ba about 25 miles/40minutes south of Fort William.

Equally take any of the roads north of FW and you'll find spectacular landscapes, e.g the FW to Mallaig Rd with the Silver Sands of Morar and potential views over to the Isles of Rum/Eigg/Muck/Canna or travel a portion of the road from FW to Skye or Fort Augustus, Loch Ness etc etc.
