On Sunday I'll be heading to the Galapagos for a little vacation, and I'm bringing my Crown Graphic and a box or two of quickloads. Any tips? I have slide and negative quickloads... I'm thinking the negatives since they are more forgiving and I'm still a noob.

You will be in small inflatable rafts, so keep your gear dry.

The wildlife is very approachable so you need to be able to focus close. Make sure you have enough bellows extension and compensate for it with exposure. I would take ASA 400 film to keep the shutter speed reasonable.

Of course, a tripod is a must. A wide angle focused close would be nice for much of the wildlife.

Take all of your film. Not many better places to expose it or learn from your mistakes.

Don't get too close to the animals or try to touch them. Despite having naturalist guides on the trips, many people are ineducable morons and can't resist touching things. Almost as bad as people throwing cigarette butts on the ground.

A drybag can grant a lot of peace of mind when bringing a camera around boats/water, if you can find one in your budget that will fit your Crown kit it might be worth packing along.

At the last minute I decided against my LF gear and went with medium format.

I'd still love to hear about the trip and see some photos ;-) just tell the mods it was a big camera.
