Hello, I like true thick double weight such as Kentmere Bromide. That paper is thick. I have Ilford MG IV Fiber VC that calls itself "double weight", but is a dissappointment in the thickness dept - about half as thick as my Kentmere bromide.

Please list your favorite, thick Fiber based paper/s.

Andre, I'm with you in liking truly thick papers. I didn't know Kentmere was thick.

Kodak Elite had a super thick base, but that's all I liked about it.

I don't know about "double" but I always found Zone VI Brilliant VC paper thicker than my other papers, and quite a fine paper too.

Just about any fiber-based silver halide paper made in western countries these days is on the same base from Schoeller. There's nothing else for photographic manufacturers to choose from. Paper base is probably the single most critical material they use; when it goes, all our printing options go.

to resin coated. Which is kind of annoying, granted.

The thickest B&W paper I know of is Ilford's Portfolio but it's a resin paper.

Kentmere Bromide was so thick I couldn't get it to slide into my Ganz Speed-eazel!
