Schneider Tele-Xenar 500mm, f/5.5

I'm interested in opinions on this lense. What bellows draw does it need, and does it work well in the field? How does it compare to a Nikkor T-ED 500mm f/8, for example? And what would be a reasonable price for a mint copy?
