Hi there!

Long time reader, first time poster etc etc!

Thought it was probably about time I started trying to contribute to a forum that has guided me through the first year or so of my large format adventure, ditched digital in October 08 and havent looked back :) It would be nice to put back something into a community that has provided with me so much!

I look forward to sharing some of my images with you all!

Thank you all very much!

Spencer

Hey, I'm only down the road in Swindon, but I don't often use LF right now - more into my 6x6.

A Yank, but spent several happy days in Bath. Would love to see some photos from that area. It's beautiful.

Haven't been there, but will be this spring. There's a house on Darlington Place that I need to photograph. It must be quite the house. It is currently for sale for 1.5 million pounds.

Welcome to the forum from Washington DC! I've been to Bath also, lovely town, but it was nearly 30 years ago.

And I was very near Bath last Autumn - up at Dyrham Park for the day.

'allo from Staffordshire,
The way things are over here at the moment if you and unkgowa hit the City Centre together with your LF cameras you could get the Riot Squad out to check what you're doing. Alert the local press before you do it. Anything for a laugh.
Best wishes,
Pete.

Hi Spencer!

How are you doing? It's been a while! I've gone large format since the Scotland road trip. (Actually just recently) but you, Chris and Martin inspired me!

I'm up for it.. Someone would probably call in the firearms officers thinking my Speed Graphic was some sort of sub-machine gun..

Must have been Dyrham or Hinton village - nice, but the stone is a bit uniform grey coloured! Had a very good lunch at Pucklechurch - in fact, I had never has such good pub food in the UK as I did last year.

Yeah, I lived in Dyrham and I do recall that there were some pretty good pubs round there..

Ah, lovely Swindon and its magic roundabouts! Nice to know there are some people local to me though!

Thank you! Do I detect a potential LF workshop/meet around here soon?

Well, drop us a line when you're planning to come. I'm more than happy to show you around the town and maybe meet up for some shooting! It's an amazing place if you enjoy architecural photography.

Never had any trouble from the police in Bath. Overinterested tourists and the local itinerate population is a different matter however!
