I am working on restoring a Kodak 2D 5x7

It is missing the back. Anyone have any ideas on what I can use?
Do I need to custom make one?

Thanks

You can adapt just about any 5x7 back to the 2D. Depending on the back, it may require a little or a significant amount of wood work. I'm doing some work modifying backs to fit my Century Studio camera and I think I can do most of the work on my simple table saw. If I had access to a table router--it would make things a whole lot easier. You could post an ad in the classifieds, looking for a project 5x7 back or a junker 2D for parts.

The complicated part is the spring/groundglass, the rest is just wood and 4 pins, so unless you are going for museum restoration, almost any wood 5x7 back should be adaptable with a minimum of cutting/gluing/etc. for correct fit.
