Hey ALL; Anyone out there built a recessed board to fit a 90/6.8 angulon? I'm getting tired of the push/pull thing on my Super Graphic especially in the winter. I don't want to "have to" get a super angulon to use the focus rails....but may have to. Any board design or construction tips?
Thanks,
Neil

Dear Neil_4793,

A trip to the local machine shop with an existing board is one idea. Who knows, they might take pity on you and donate some material they already have.

Neal: I'm going up to the local composites shop and see if I can score some prepreg carbon fibre. Thinking a lenseboard and a muffin cup as the basis of a form.
Cheers,
Neil

I made one of these once, for a Super Graphic. Whole thing's chronicled at nelsonfoto (http://nelsonfoto.com/SMF/index.php/topic,9478.0.html).

Excellent, Did it improve your angulon experience?
Thanks

It did (http://nelsonfoto.com/SMF/index.php/topic,9704.0.html). I was shooting a Raptar 90/6.8, a lens with minimal coverage anyway, and I ultimately got tired of vignetting corners from too much rise. But the recessed board made the lens usable for me.
