...not really new to this forum, but today I have had my former username "bardamu" changed to my real name, as I requested.
kind of a self statement after a dozen years of web anonymity I guess
most likely this is what one does when he feels home.

ciao
andrea

p.s. andrea is a male name here in Italy

Ah Milano! Home of Koristka, Officine Galileo, and Murer and Duroni. Anything left of the optical industry in Northern Italy?

I guess nothing's left, Steven.
Not to be catastrophic, but the city is all high-tech sector, shopping malls and big empty clothing showrooms.
Beauty emerges when wind comes from the north, the sky clears and the Alps show up at the horizon. In these days you can even see Monviso, a mountain 160 miles far from Milan.

Milan is only a few hours drive away for me, and I like the city very much.

We are going to have a few days in Rome later this month - are there any good shops with LF equipment or supplies that are worth visiting? I'd like to see a Fatif, for example!
