Question on an Eastman commercial tripod

Hi, I've been lurking for quite a while (the search function works fairly well ;)) but am now moved to ask a question of my own.

Does anyone know anything about an Eastman Commercial Tripod Model C?

I talked my local photo shop into selling one that they had on display. The thing is a monster and I am very happy with it, it's just that I would like to know when it was made and anything else that i could find out.
