I'm trying to get an idea on the Density Range required in a negative for the va rious printing materials.
1. Gelatine Silver Paper = 1.4 - 0.3 = 1.1 (I think)
2. Azo contact printing paper: ?
3. Platinum paper: ?
4. Pt/Pl paper: ?
5. Palladium paper: 1.95 - 0.3 = 1.65
6. Salted paper: ?
7. Albumen paper: ?
8. Gum Bichromate paper: ?
Thanks again folks,
Aaron

Ah! I was going to suggest getting the book "comming into focus" but I see you are not in the US, so I don't know how easy will it be for you to get it, so I will post some of the answers for you.
Salted prints 1.8 to 2.0 density range (2.2-.3)
Albumen 2.0 to 2.5
pt/pd 1.8 to 2.0
POP 1.8 to 2.0
These are some of the ones I could find for you in this book, I should note that I only have experience with pt/pd and that I have standarized at 2.0 because of my UV source. So by no means I am an expert on the other ones, but they should be good for a guideline. Good luck!

The density range for various grades of silver paper will vary according to grade. In addition, density range will vary slightly by manufacturer.
