I have a radial focus CC Harrison lens that came on a Daguerreotype camera.
I'm thinking of trying it on a more usable camera.
Has anyone tried this?

Sure have.
Harrison Petvals are highly desired as collectibles and antique shooters...mine was pretty dang sharp with low contrast...
How about that dag camera - lets see some pics !

Sure, of course you can use it on another camera. Harrison learned lens grinding from Fitz, and both were considered the best optics makers in America at the time. An original Dag camera with original lens is very valuable. I would not let them get too separated.
Attached are two of mine.

My lens is #7129.
No slot for aperture plates, it has a brass front cap.
I'll have my stepkid load pics later

Serial dates lens to 1860, which is well into the wet plate era.

I sold the lens and camera to a good home a couple years ago....
