Filter size for 135mm lens

I just got a Schneider Symmar-S f/5.6 135 lens. As near as I can tell is should accept a 48 mm red filter. Does anyone know if this is the correct size before I order it?

It is actually 49mm. I needed a Lee filter adapter ring and wrote and email to Schneider to double check the size and it is indeed a 49mm .
