I'm confused about the 'new' Fuji Polaroid 4x5 films fp100B & fp100C. They claim to be 4x5 but one is actually smaller, or they both are?
But my greater question is will they work in the 545 series film holders? Fuji is now selling a plastic appearing holder for $200. I hope I don't have it, to use the new films.
Thank you for any insight, Jay

FP100B45 is black and white and FP100C45 is color. They are 4x5 instant film and they work in a PA-45 holder, there are 10 shots per box.

The Fuji films don't work in the Polaroid 545 holders, those were made for the individual sheets which have been discontinued. You need either the Fuji holder or the Polaroid film pack holder.

If you can find a nice used Polaroid 550 holder, then the 45 series of Fuji Instant will work in that. Be aware that FP100C is for the smaller Polaroid 405 holder, while the FP100C45 fits only the larger Polaroid 550 holder. There are ten shots in a pack. Also, sometimes Calumet list these films incorrectly. Fuji could come up with better naming, but that is unlikely to happen.

the 45 series of instant films: FP100C45 for example, is a 10 sheet pack of film that fits into a Polaroid 550 holder, or the Fuji equivalent. It is actually closer to true 4x5 format than the now discontinued Polaroid individual sheet peel-apart 4x5 films.

The smaller size (about 8.5 x 10.5cm from memory) film is called FP-100c FP-100b FP-3000B and is quite a bit less expensive than the 'full' size' FP-100c45 film and as far as I know requires a Fuji PA-145 holder.

These films are not "new". They have been around for years, but had limited distribution in the United States until the demise of Polaroid.
