Hi,

I have just bought a 5x7 sinar Norma. It hasn't arrived yet, but I wondered if the front lens panels are the same dimensions for both the 4x5 and 5x7 versions?

I need to get onto Evil Bay to buy a couple of boards and want to make sure I get the right size. Obviously I know about the hole sizes (copal 0, 1 etc.).

Advice much appreciated.

Regards

Steve

p.s the camera is 'mint' and I think it was a steal at £199 GBP!

Yes, the 5x7 takes normal Sinar lens boards.

ALL of the Sinar lenboards are the same size.

Yes they are the same size but rather big. I bought a Linhof-Sinar adapter for my 75mm that came on a linhof board and now Im actually considering switching to linhof board for all my lenses to cut down bulk.

I did just that using a Chinese adapter I bought on eBay. It works very well.

I believe the P3 and other Sinar digital cameras takes 100mm lensboards.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Now to go Ebaying for a panel..and some film. doesn't seem to be much choice when it comes to film, but FP4 or HP5 will do fine, it's all I seem to get when I search (here in the Uk anyway).
