I posted this somewhere else but its one of my favorite window pictures.

Outstanding, Scott. Beautifully composed and wonderful mood to it. What are the techs on it?
BTW, your roller base is still going strong. Thanks again for that.

Thanks y'all. It was a gloomy day and I was watching my girlfriend's daughter. I love the light I get from this window in the afternoon. I just updated my avatar that has a photo I took with light from it.
Anyway, I set the camera up and she wanted to smile but I said that wouldn't work 'right' ;-)
This is a 5X7 wet plate. I originally took a whole plate but there just wasn't enough light for any detail in the shadows. So I grabbed a 5X7 plate, poured, sensitized and made this one. It's cool how you can 'crop' like that...

Oh and glad the base is still doing well. I'm getting antsy to shot some film again. Wish I wouldn't have sold off all my development stuff but that's how it goes.

Shop in Woodbury, Connecticut. Old 4x5 Ektachrome (late 70's or early 80's). No code number on film edge, so can't say exactly which (one sharp V notch and one wide round cornered notch, so probably Ektachrome 64 Pro). Horseman L; Nikkor 150W. Exposure not recorded, but obviously late afternoon.
Scanned with Epson V750 Pro, glassless film holder. Minimal post processing. Some spotting, and cooled off the late PM light just a bit. And yes, it really was that red.
No special storage for 'chromes. They've been in PrintFile pages, in 3-ring binders, in boxes, downstairs in a cool, dry closet at 8500' in Colorado for the past 25-30 years. Pretty good conditions, I guess.
Very nice Chuck, my favorite is the second one also.

Very well executed full of black and white texture.
I have a real problem in places like Bodie, too many wonderful windows. I want to photograph all of them.

Here is a photo of some windows. Even soul-less glass boxes can be attractive if you look at them right.

Randy, I like this a lot, with its extra dimension of place. A standout.

Thanks Philip - it's one of those places I wish I could go back and try again - but it has been out of the family for a good 20 years or so.

Hope this isn't spamming this thread. These two photos are an experiment I did of a screen, so not exactly a window. I previously made a similar photo and was really happy with some tricks I did with it in the darkroom. I exposed a print normally first, then flipped the paper and re-exposed. In this experiment, I made multiple exposures each time rotating the film back.

Merg,
Your photo is great. The tones, contrast, and light are excellent. I like the way the verticals of the boarded window breaks horizontals of the wood siding. The tree adds some needed tension. I'm always drawn to weathered wood subject matter.
Best regards,
Pat
