Graflex Bag Mag instructions

I have just received a Graflex bag mag for my old 3X4 Graflex Super D. It includes 12 septums and while I can see how to put the septums in the bag after exposure I cannot see how to get them out of the bag. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

hi simon

i imagine you have figured out the sliding rod on the side that pulls the exposed
film septum out of the box and into the bag ..
you then take the septum in your fingers through the bag
and slide it back into the box through a second "slot" so it rotates to the back of the pile.
if you open the bag mag and remove the septums, you will see there are
2 slots, one at the bottom ( that you pull the exposed film out of )
and one at the top of the stack of septums.
usually if you hold the sides of the septum through the bag you can position it
right to slide it back into the box.
it can be tricky at first but once you get the hang of it you will find it to be
a piece of cake ... if the brass rod is sticky you can use brasso or a brass polish to make
it slippery again.
