I apologize if this is the wrong section to post this question but I figured since the majority of images seem to be posted here, it might be the best place to ask.

I was wondering what method most people use to get their traditional prints into a digital format for posting on websites or forums (like this one). Do most people just scan prints? If so, do you need to do much work to the file once it's scanned to make it presentable? I'd like to be able to start posting some images here and I'm not sure which way to go. Also, I don't currently have any interest in going digital, so I don't want to throw a ton of money at it either. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Bingo. You can scan either the print or the negative, depending on your situation. If you're interested in getting a decent, non-professional scanner, a lot of folks here seem to use the Epson V750, though if you're just doing this for your own amusement, a less pricey scanner will probably also work.

my scanning sucks......i find it easier to scan a print than a neg....but i have no PS skills. i got as base (real cheap) scanner. it allows me to play on the web. i do not get overly serious either....just to play.
