I'm back from Europe and have compiled the first series from the trip.

There are a few familiar faces too ;)

Check out "These People I Met" on www.nps160.co.uk - it's the gallery of people I met while I was away... apart from a few people i didnt get a photo of.

You may recognise the odd face from here too if you know who to look for :)

Not Large Format I'm afraid, but the series features a few LFPF members.

How'd you manage to meet Billy Bob Clinton.:D

The photos are currently lacking the anecdotes, which I hope to put up soon enough.

Basically I was in Slovenia on a whim (en-route to Venice, around 2am we'd jumped off the train and I'd decided to stay there in a hostel where a guy I'd met was staying). Around lunchtime I walked past the hotel where a news crew was gathered. I asked what's going on, they said Bill Clinton is on a visit - first time in 10 years - a talk on the economy. :D

Sheesh, you should have said you'd be close to Croatia!

Reading about your trip when it was in planning stage, I thought you wouldn't be coming anywhere near, so I kept my mouth shut....

I'm in Varazdin, quite close to Slovenian border, and could have easily picked you up in Slovenia by car...

Well, next time - or the next LFF traveller :)

I also have lab facilities at home (JOBO CPA2) - as of two days ago also offering color film processing :)
So, any LF shots you might have taken could be developed... and probably scanned.

Well, until next time!

Denis

Thanks Claudio :)

Definitely next time then Denis! I popped through Croatia, but didn't stop. Ljubljana was nice. I've been to Porec before though :)

Nice set of pictures Ash.

I particularly liked the series on 'Things Falling Apart'.

Some great locations!

I take it you used a Hasselblad for all pictures?

What film stock did you use, the colours are really nice.

Thanks, yea portraits are a C-lens 500c, and the architecture/non-people are all 80's non-T* SWC. The Musicians project is Kodak Portra and the rest of the stuff is Fuji NPS160 or PRO160S

Some lovely images Ash. I really like some of the derelict stuff with the SWC.

The images are up temporarily, as I still need to scan the notes that accompany the images (handwritten notes from 4/5 the people photographed), and then write an 'essay' explaining the project. All in good time though, as I'm working full time and juggling other commitments also.

I liked the musicians, in particular, the record collector.
