Hello,

Are there any books of famous photographers that use Linhof extensively? I know there are several books featuring photographers that mainly shoot with Nikons, Leicas, Hasselblads, Graflexes, etc. But how about Linhof??? I love vintage ph otography books from the 40's, 50's and 60's and would love to find a source wit h several Linhof photographs (Other than "Large Format Photography" which featur ed Linhof). Thanks for your recommendations.

John Sexton has several books. He shoots Technikardan 45 and some recent version of the Technika (Master Technika 2000?).

I have no doubts that Ansel would have used a Linhof if they had given him one...

Didn't this come up in the Wright Morris thread--wanted a Linhof, but couldn't afford it?

Maybe this could be another list: great photographers who wanted a Linhof, but never made enough money to acquire one.

The latest issue of Black & White shows Philip Hyde using a Technika. The picture was taken years ago....................................

Nice first post. Welcome to the civilized world of large format. Let's see, you are flaming Jorge Gasteazoro with your first post, Jorge just made his 2,532 nd post. Please understand that some of us are looking for more intelligent and positive feed back. Please consider that before you write your second post.

Someone flaming Jorge is the pot calling the kettle black. BTW, Jorge has been gone for a year or two at least.

Cheers, Steve

Many are. The first time I saw the Se metro stop and Copan building in São Paulo I was shocked at how small they both were:confused: .

Peter Bialobrzeski shoots with a Technika and Gabriele Basilico a Technikardan. Also Thomas Struth uses a Technikardan when shooting 4x5.

Dunno, the ones I remember from an exhibition of Gursky's work at the Pompidou Centre a few years back were big, especially an aerial view of a football pitch. it was maybe 6-9 feet high. It was a while back so am a bit hazy on the exact height..

Jorge is long gone from this forum, too late for an insult.
