On Saturday Nov. 7 and Sunday Nov. 8 the artists of Burlington, Ontario get together and hold a Studio Tour and Open House.
Once again my studio is part of the tour. If you have a chance on Sat. or Sun. to drop in and say hi, please do.
Although I make my living as a sports photographer or working the desk at the Hamilton Spectator, I've always made a few sales selling black and white "Fine Art". I'll be showing a collection of my black and white documentary work from my June assignment to China... all taken with the Zeiss Ikon on Delta film. I'll also be showing images from the Canadian and American West taken with my Ebony 8x10. All of these images are 20x24 prints done in a traditional darkroom.
Two other artists will be at my studio. A Jewelry maker and a quilter.
The studio is at 3123 Walkers Line in Burlington, and the tour runs from 10-5pm.
There are 12 studios on this years Art in Action tour and 33 artists involved. You get more information at artinaction.ca. There are four other photographers at other studios on the tour.
