Have you tried CSW Film Systems at 215 N. Damen? http://cswfilmsystems.com I haven't used them yet as I work primarily in black and white, but they have been highly recommended to me. I had some consistency issues with Precision Imaging–maybe as Phoenix they'll be better.

I've used them for C41, and am very happy with the results and their customer service.

I used CSW for a long time and they were mostly great. They themselves told me some time ago they were not adept at processing 8x10, so I went to Precision. Ran into a few issues along the way with them but they've always been real easy to work with.

I've had nothing but good experiences with Precision (no experience with CSW) and am very glad to hear that they are alive and well under whatever name.

On a sadder note for the Chicago area, Helix is closing its last location other than its downtown headquarters store. The Highland Park branch will shut on 11/10. This is particularly disturbing given the uniformly excellent quality of their people, who have not been offered further employment by Helix, and the loss of their custom print work which was markedly better than that produced at the downtown headquarters.

I was just in Phoenix nee Precision today with some 8x10 C41... They really are the best. Incredibly friendly, and they do great work.
