I need (even if I can Do without it) a Toyo-view 158x158 off-centre lensboard for my Grandagon 115/6.8 and Toyo 810M.

Is there a non-drilled Such Lensboard to get.
(I could not find any at www.toyoview.com.)

Or do I have to modify an allready drilled one.

An how to do this ?

Drill another hole and then cover the first one ? (Einstein)

Göran,

You should have a lensboard without a hole to enable off-centre drilling. You can also ask local machinist to close your Copal 0/1/3 lensboard by welding, then drill or lathe a new opening according to desired measurements.

I have the same camera and I also have a metal job shop that can do the job for you should you not find any in your neighbourhood. (Toyo do not offer lensboars without drilled openings, which surprises me.)

1.)
Yes You may cover the hole first and then drill the new one.

The material should be "die-cast" (www.toyoview.com) some sort of aluminium alloy.
Not so hard to drill (could do it myself).

But welding ? then I must have something to weld in the hole a same size-aluminium-circle ?

2.)
Or else I may do it somewhat easier:

See Image below

a.)
First I drill the new hole 4cm off centre.
I can buy a 38 mm drill here that will work for metal. Then I file to 42mm.
The new (prontor #1) hole is 42mm and will come just above the old one
which is 35mm if I get a shutter #0 lensboard to start with.

b.)
Then after drilling I fill the #0-hole with something
(I do not know what) but not welding and not hard-silver-soldering.
I have to find out something else.

I may use the circle that I drill away and file it down to 35mm.
I may even have It welding in place ?

Why don't you make it simple and use your camera's front rise and shift.

(I am planning to try some churh-images with quite vertical back.)

I think I can manage to get the lens sharp (I have done some calculations and one field-test) over large angles above the horizon.

So I have to have the horizon (= lens position) in the uppermost of the ground glass
(and then I will fill the 8x10" film all the way down).

I can manage to get this position (or close to it) with "lens-rise" + "Extra-indirect-lens-rise" (tilting the camera and then tilting back the Front and Back).

But I want to be able to do it without the "Extra-indirect-lens-rise". Wich is rather cumbersome.
