Epson 4880 suddenly prints too dark

I've been printing the same images with the same settings, printer and ink for a long time; suddenly today every print I've made was much too dark. I tried rebooting both the computer and printer, and finally wound up having to apply a brightness/contrast correction to each print just to get it to look approximately right.

Any thoughts on what might have caused this sudden problem and, more importantly, what I can do to correct it?

It could be a corrupted paper profile, and/or your monitor needs to be recalibrated and profiled. I'd check your monitor, first. If it's OK, install a new paper profile and see how that works.

Thanks Preston. I doubt that it's the monitor, since the images are in master files that I processed after calibrating properly. I'll check the paper profile though... that could be it.
