Hi,

My name is Enrique Vizcarra

I have LF Toyo view 4x5 with 150mm lens,

I can't find labs in Mexico to develop my films,

The only option I have is use the medium format film holder or send my films to USA

Do you think this will be worst or maybe LF will resurge?

How you think about Jobo CPP2 processor? (I can't find distributors)

Of course, I have digital camera, but I still like very much the LF

Welcome to group therepy, Enrique...I seem to remember a couple of other LF shooters posting here from Mexico, so maybe one of them will have a processing source for you. I'd think that there would be a lab you could use in one of the larger cities, like Mexico City. Of course, theres nothing wrong with 120 film in a view camera...I use it in roll holders in both 6x7 and 6x9 sizes.

Welcome Enrique.

If you like black and white...it's pretty easy to set up your own processing of the film.

If you are willing to send your roll film to the USA, you might as well send 4x5. I have friends who go to Puebla every year and they seem to have figured out a reliable shipper....I'll ask her about it and let you know. What part of Mexico?

Yes, please. I am interesed on Color, because as you say B&W it's easy,

The B&W can accept some variations while processing, and even it's easy to adjust the temperature vs time. in the other hand, in the Color process, temperature variations are very marginal, just +-0.1C. Something very hard to control without automatic and very acurate processor.

I just look at jobo CPP2, but seem that there are not distributors available, and the few I found in eBay are about 2,500dls, too expensive for me. :)

NOTE: I am living in Sonora, Mexico

Thank you

When I was in Mexico City early 2008 I was using LMI to process all my film. They were a good quality pro lab & the local photographers seemed to regard them as the best option. www.lmi.com.mx

Greetings Enrique and welcome.

I was just about to suggest checking for a lab in Mexico City. I will be very surprised if no labs there can process 4x5 color negs and slides.

I think I have to keep searching, because Mexico city has everything, I will try again, but for a while I have the option of www.lmi.com.mx

In the past, Fotoregis was my provider, but stop working with 4x5, any way, I am sure I will find something in Mexco :)

I found my 4x5 camera, lens, film holder, etc I will happy to try again LF

Thank you Mike

Hello Enrique, you are most welcome.
I live in Hermosillo and have been doing LF for almost 2 years.
Glad to find someone that does LF here in Sonora.

Can't be of much help for you with color processing sources as I only do b&w on my own.

Hector,
