I got this lens at least 15 years ago, I think from Lens and Repro. It's a Fuji 221mm f4/.5 lens that only stops down to f8, with f5.6 and f6.3 marked. You can see the 8, 6.3 and a bit of the 5.6 in the first pic. It used to have click stops on all 4 settings, but I took the ring off to see if it could stop down past f8, and lost the teeny ball bearing that did the clicking. Click on an image to see the huge size.

The large grooves on the outside aren't threading, but might be for some sort of focus drive thing? The end nearest the writing doesn't have any threading for a filter, the other end might be threaded for a 72mm filter, but I don't have one to test. It's about 84mm long, and maybe 78mm in diameter at the aperture ring.

As for counting reflections, in the 3rd image, there's a single bare bulb above it. Does that indicate 4 elements?

I have a vague memory of it being touted as covering 5x7, but I have no way to test.

Any clues? Some day I'll figure out how to put it on a lensboard. It came with the two clear plastic covers shown in the 3rd image that serve as front and rear caps.

Thanks,

Drew

Perhaps it's from an office copier. Xerox had some business connection with Fuji, and copiers often use a lens in that focal length range.
