I got an old brass steinheil lens, and do not know focal lenght and aperture.
The only tings on the lens is "Steinheil in Munchen No 25713 Patent"
The lens is without the waterhouse stops.
It has 3 lenses, the front can be screwed off, than a somewhat longer tube with 2 lenses.
It has a large image circle, looks ok to me on 8x10 with moevements.
Can someone give me more info about this lens.

Mike.

I did some cleaning and now I can read the text on the flange :D, should have done that much earlier.
It seems an "Gruppen Antiplane 48mm"
Some googling and it seems an 275mm lens with an F6
Probably around 1881.

Thanks.

Am I right that it is an F6 lens.
It covers 8x10 with movement.
