Currently we offer 4 Linhof Master technika cameras:

1: The all chrome Master Technika 2000

2: The all chrome Master Technika

3: The all chrome Master Technika with slight cosmetic blemishes

4: The partly black bodied Master Technika.

Camera 1 is different from cameras 2, 3 and 4.

Cameras 2, 3 and 4 are identical in specifications, features, parts and endurance. The black parts are finished with the same coating as the tripods, the Technoramas, the Technar, The Super Technika 23b and the Kardans.

The difference between cameras 2, 3 and 4 are:

2 and 3 are chrome. 3 has very slight, usually unnoticeable blemishes on the chrome and is less than camera 2.

4 is made speciffically for HP Marketing for the U.S. market and we have to buy the entire production run which we do twice a year (sometimes 3 times).

The cost is less due to the quantity that we buy and we pass the savings on to the dealer and the consumer.

In every respect, except the color of some parts of the body, cameras 2 and 4 are identical. Camera 3 would be except for the blemishes.

go for the black one if you ever have to shoot stuff where camera reflections might be a prob, i recently changed all my manfrotto tripods and lightstands to all black after becoming fed up with haveing to cover them with black cloth, cost me 10/15 percent more for the black finish but worth it, only fear i have ( maybe baseless ) wear and tear might show more on black finished good, i maybe wrong here though.
