Hi,

I have older Toyo view D45M, probably from early '70s.
It's in really good condition and I have almost everything I could imagine except some things like perhaps longer bellows than normal and additional tripod attachment block, so that I can use two tripods or some other support when using long lens and/or really long monorail.

Is there any interchangeable parts betveen D45M and newer toyo monorail cameras?

The D45M has a different diameter rail than the C,E,F or G model rails as I remember, and is made of stainless steel instead of Aluminum. But the bellows/groundglass mounting is the same, as are the lens boards.

D45Ms show up from time to time on eBay. I got one in great condition for $150.00 last year, intending it to be spare parts for the one I already had, or allow me to bolt two bellows together for extreme macro work.

I am little confused about Toyo view camera models. There's also 45D which is totally different than D45M and D45A? And then there is 45S which seems to be quite similar with D45M/A.

I am looking for longer bellows and perhaps one frame for supporting two bellows for long lenses.. But what model's parts should I look for in addition to D45M/A?

Somewhat confusing is also bellow mounting. Some sources says that D45 does not have interchangeable bellows, but surely it does. Is it confusion between D45 and 45D?
There's bellows on a sale, but without a mount fittings - Can I assume that any bellow fitting of Toyo will do the job?

The finding list of Toyo models with good descriptions is really hard!

Edit: Actually found it: http://www.toyoview.co.jp/contents/company.htm

Based on that, there's not a such model than 45D, perhaps people means D45 when talking about 45D?
Wild guess, parts of 45S and D45 are compatible with D45M.

Jukka, I have a D45 and it has fixed bellows (I had to undo all the screws in the frames to insert the new homemade replacement). I presume the M designation implied interchangeable bellows? From what Wally says it seems the bellows from more modern cameras (Gs basically) should fit.

This site isn't much help. It gives the model number and year it was made, but no descriptions. I have a D45 something, and would really like to know how one determines exactly what model one has.

First time I found some pictures of D45: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260513262467&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123

Very different than my D45M, the monorail seems also different. More like rail of the newer Toyo's than rail of the D45M and D45A.

Here's a good picture of D45M: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mikefiction/2726117446/

Don't quite understand the logic behind Toyo's model numbering if D45 differs that much from D45M/A and 45S seems to be exactly same as D45M/A.

Looking at this and some other posts I think I actually have a 45E  , but I agree the naming does not seem to make any sense

Mine looks like the D45M on the Flickr site. Whatever it is, it's a nice camera.
