I use the Unicolor 352 base to process my LF films in a Jobo tank, as many others here do. I have noticed over the past few months that the motor seems to be laboring a bit, or at least, sounds as if it might be. I wanted to take the motor out to see if there were any lubrication points in the planetary drive that powers the wheels (...BTW, there does not seem to be). In the process of loosening the motor screws, a small metal (aluminum?) rhombic-shaped piece of metal (about 1.5 inches long x about 1 inch wide) dropped out from somewhere between the motor and the plastic cover, as you look at the motor from the bottom with the bottom plate removed.

Do anyone have any idea where that piece of metal goes? I cannot see any existing marks to indicate where it may have been mounted. It was not screwed in so I am guessing that it was simply wedged in between the motor and same part of the plastic cover... perhaps as a heat shield?

Please let me know if anyone can help me or if there is someone you might refer me to. Thanks, so much.

Shall I volunteer mine so you can open it up and try to find the same part before it falls out?
