I was lucky enough to be gifted a full darkroom and have been having great fun with all my 35mm and 120 negs, but have just picked up a Cambo 4x5. I wanted to know if there was a negative carrier which would work in the Beseler 23CII and allow me to enlarge 4x5's?

I am assuming that I will be able to contact print no problem with this enlarger, but just on the off chance, would like to be able to do some small enlargements.

Cheers,
Sean

Only if you cut your 4X5 negatives in half.

No way to enlarge a full frame 4X5 negative in a Beseler 23CII enlarger.

No. The largest format that the 23C series can accommodate is 6x9cm or 2.25x3.25", hence the "23" name.

well now that makes sense. Always wondered how they got to that name.

I can still do the contact printing in it though, so all is not lost.

Sounds weird but.... a Beseler CB7 is 4X5, not 5X7....
I guess 7 was just a lucky number for Charles B.
