I was cruising the German and Swiss versions of the auction site and came across an item I've never seen before. Did or does Sinar package the following calculator with their cameras? I've never bought one new...

A great little calculator ! Would like to have one.
Never saw it before, not even in their catalogue.

Rodenstock has a similar unit which I have.
See the BHP site: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/155145-REG/Rodenstock_260700_Depth_of_Field_Calculator.html
It works well,
Len

Not bundled with any of mine for sure. IIRC they were sold separately.

And considerably less expensive than the Rodenstock widget at 4.80 pounds.

Click on the link in Wally's post, then click on the "Sinar Simulator DE" link in the middle left of the catalog page that opens. That will get you to the PDF that edwinb posted.

It is no manual but a advertising blurb which merely explains at great length and three times over that the calculator is a training aid for a simplified four step tilting method.

sinar introduced the same method directly on their cameras around the mid eighties with the P2/F2 series (consisting of an angle calculator on the rear standard and matching adjustment scales all around). Going by its design, the paper calculator probably dates back to the time of that introduction.

Hi Edwin. The price is right @ image2output and I'd love to order a copy of the tool, if at all possible. But there's no easy way to do so if you in the US. The storefront won't allow customers outside the UK to order directly. Any chance you could put me in contact with a sales person to arrange a sale?

BTW, Ich kann aber Deutsch lesen und sprechen, und manchmal, schreiben. Vielleicht nicht so gut wie ein echte Deutscher, aber trotzdem...

Thanks, Jan C.

clare - c.sullivan(at)image2output.com can answer any sales questions.

the issue is shipping I think- some of the equipment is a little heavy
(3m steel ceiling rails come to mind)
