Could someone direct me to a website/thread that discusses the merits of lift. Do I need it? Books mention but don't describe whether or not it affects the way I should do things with equipment in my posession.
BTW Anybody know where to get CD-3

Or attached to the nanoparticles in the lab.
CD3 is the color developer in E6. My supply has dwindled and Photographer's Formulary does not carry it. I found another source but it has jumped in price!

Lift as in a Jobo? A Jobo processor lifts the developing tank (drum) to drain it and then refills it.

As opposed to using a Jobo drum on a motor base and one has to do all the heavy lifting oneself.

Lift---------What the Brits call an elevator?

Lift---------Slang expression for bumming a ride (As in,how about a lift, pal?).

Lift---------An insert in a shoe, making the wearer look taller.

Lift---------Plastic surgery on the face (face lift, brow lift, etc).

You need to be more specific.

Just thought of another one:

Drink Red Bull. It'll give you a "lift".

Lift—a necessary function needed to move one big arse camera from one location to another.

the force that counters weight(gravity)generated by the aerodynamic shape of a wing?

He is looking for a website that discusses the merits of lift. Here it is.

I've been reading some more posts and it seems that "lift' is accomplished by a plastic arm that breaks and , therefore, one should have an extra thingy hiding in a box when it does. It sounded to me at first that it was some device in the (Jobo) developing tank that used gas (not mechanical) to move the developer, etc against the film(s). I guess I was wrong about that.

You guys are a riot.

Kutta–Joukowski theorem... "lift" is produced by circulation, in the case of an aircraft wing the pressure differential between upper and lower surfaces causes the circulation, hence lift.

But then again, it could be the "thingy hiding in a box" that emo mentions.

Lift is what keeps an airplane in the air.

Quit your day job and be a straightman
but seriously Ladies and Germs, it looks like you are about as close as you are gonna get here- google JOBOlift to find out more about the breakable arm thingy on JOBO processors- I believe that is their trade name for it

I vote for "lifts and separates" as the best so far

Is this what "lifts and separates" refers to?

An advertising slogan used from the '60s through I don't know when, for Platex Cross-Your-Heart Bras.

I am really sorry that I put it out there and just wish that I had some experience with the Jobo lift to pass on for the OP.
