hello all,

well tis the season for a LF gathering. usually us NYers pick the coldest jan day or the hottest aug. day to get together.

i would like to try and break this pattern. lets try for an april or may weekend. most are good for me. lets see what others think. some of my regular shooting partners can only make sat so lets try for sat.

i am about 2 hours N or NYC. the bus stops at my house if anyone is coming by bus.

we have a variety of stuff to shoot. trains, bridges, wilderness, water, waterfalls, spring flowers, old building, you name it we have it....well if you want to shoot nudes you may have to bring them....:)

I'm leaning towards May. Last spring was fun up there and I'm looking forward to a visit.

23rd is better for me, but either will work. I am about 10 miles from Kingston, very convenient.

The 23rd is good for me too. Especially if I can hitch a ride with someone leaving from the city :)

I may be able to give you a ride. I am hoping that my friend has a car, but if not I will most likely be renting a car. We can split the costs 3 way. Let me know if this works for you?

Alan,
I have a ride for you on the 23rd. Where does the NJ train leave you?
What time are we planning to meet in Kingston?
Is the diner still the meet up place?

yup. the diner opens at 7:30. so if you want food come then.

anytime is fine with me. personally i would rather be shooting in the morning when i the light is good rather than eating.

i am available as early as you all can get here.....5? 6? 7? all is good for me.

Hi guys: I was thinking of coming to the gathering also. Can anyone (Eddie) be more specific about the time and place. Is it the same diner we met at when we went to high falls? The weather sounds promising with some cloudy skies and possibility of some thunder storms.
Hope to see you on saturday,
Arthur

tell em what time you all want to arrive and we can arrange a meeting. if you want to meet at the diner then that is fine at 7:30 am it opens. if you want to meet before let me know.

from NYC get off at new paltz exit and take route 32 N to rosendale ny. cross the one lane bridge and the diner is on the left 1/4 after bridge.

from the N take route 32 south to tillson ny. diner will be on right just after 2nd big hill.

name is 32 lunch.

google maps gets you close but not right on.

I am hoping to make it - I would be driving up from Long Island, but won't know for sure until Friday afternoon. It would be my first time with the group - any idea of what you have planned for the day?

eddie

r mann,

we are up for suggestions.

we shot around here last time so we may not hit the same spots. i am thinking old big train trestle (we can walk across) and/or old stone houses from 1600s and maybe some broke down train cars. the sky is the limit....we got mnore better stuff too.....

Here is one of mine. Taken with a paper negative in my 2x3 Speed Graphic. The lens is the front of my binoculars. Liked it so much it is now my business card.
