Hello,

I'm looking information about:

G.Rodenstock Doppel- Anastigmat Eurynar 6.8/30cm

I got this lens from my friend. Have anybody used this lens? Is it good lens.

I'll try to post pictures soon.

It was funny story about these lens: my friend said that it is broken, the front and rear element are stuck. So he advise to use some kind of special tool to unscrew...Can you image I fix lens in few minutes with bare hands...The diaphragm was out of place...

The Eurynar is a classic Dialyte, meaning that it has four air-spaced lenses. This gave problems with contrast when lenses were still uncoated, but it was considered worth it since it was the first anastigmat-type lens to be as sharp as a good Aplanat in the center - and it was equally sharp in the corners too!

It's a good lens. I have used a 150mm, and it really is brilliantly sharp - even the uncoated one is super sharp.

I have a couple of 135mm versions. Excellent lens. Be sure to use a good lens hood with it.

I have a 165 eurynar and I use it in landscape photography. It's very very sharp, 300mm will cover lager than 8X10 format.
