Our demonstration on the daguerreotype process with Takashi Arai (http://www.takashiarai.com), held on March 15th, was very well received. We had a very good turn out with attendees from all over the United States. Takashi was pleased with the results and plans to return in the fall to conduct a daguerreotype workshop in conjunction with the 2009 Daguerreian Society Symposium (http://www.daguerre.org/symposia/symposium2009.php). We will also be having a show of contemporary daguerreotype practitioners which will include the work of Takashi Arai.
We documented both the March 13th lecture and March 15th demonstration. The pictures from these dates can be viewed on the Project Basho Flickr stream at the link below.

We also wanted to remind you that this weekend we will be having a workshop with Kerik Kouklis (http://www.kerik.com/) on the Wet Plate Collodion process. The workshop will be held Saturday and Sunday March 28th and 29th. To view more information on this workshop please visit our workshop page linked below.
