This April, an exhibit of my photographs will be shown in Portland, Maine. The title of the show is "Close to Home." It will be at the Aucocisco Gallery, 613 Congress Street, across the street from the Portland Museum of Art. The opening is on Friday April 3, as part of the First Friday Art Walk. That night, all the galleries in the arts district are open and the museum is free. During First Friday Art Walks, hundreds of people (in small groups) move happily from one gallery to the next. It's very upbeat and reassuring to everyone. There are also good restaurants in that part of Portland.

The website for Aucocisco Gallery is: http://www.aucocisco.com/index.html

Click on Artists and then my name to find my images, statement, etc.

It's a wonderful, walkable area, and I love the Museum of Art... as much fun as there is wonder there! Hope the New England crowd sees this... THIS is a field trip worth taking! Congratulations, Michael!

I apologize for bumping this announcement, but few of you saw my initial posting before it skidded to the depths of forum darkness. Also, Aucocisco Gallery has updated their website with better scans and a revised artist statement. I hope you like what you see, and I hope that any of you who are near Portland will visit the gallery during April.
