I've shoot, processed and printed 35mm for 45 years and digital the last 7 but I'm wanting to move to Large Format. I want to become more engaged with the process of photography and printing and see Large Format as the way to that.

I'm here to learn and ask questions.

You're correct when you say that large format photography is a way to become more engaged in the photographic process. The members of this forum are devoted to capturing images on large format film.

There is a small group of LF photogs in your area of TX that get together almost every Sat. morning. We frequently shoot in Ft.Worth, as well as other nearby locations West and South. In fact, we were in Ft.Worth yesterday.

We would be happy to help get you started on your LF journey.

Welcome aboard.

I didn't realize anyone else from Dublin,Texas knew who Wallace Stevens was, much less was meandering around quoting him. Having graduated from Dublin, Texas High School in 1984 I can assure you it is a recent development!!:) :D

Quite a surprise to see this post here. My father taught at Dublin High when I was there and was the pastor at the First Christian Church. We lived in the parsonage for several years. He then went on to get a PhD in Cultural Anthropology and taught at Tarleton for many years in the English Department. Small world--getting smaller all the time it appears.

Welcome to the site. It is indeed a wonderful resource for what you are seeking.

best of luck,

Monty
