Hello,

I have a Rondenstock Sironar 1:5,6/240 mm. According to its serial number (#5488412) it is from 1961/66.
It is not APO, nor S and neither N.
I would like very much have a lens construction diagram. Any idea where in the web I could find one?

Thanks for any help,

Rgds

It's a 6/4 plasmat just like the -Ns and -S lenses. I have the 210 that's convertible, and it appears to cover 8x10 quite nicely.

Cheers,

Steve

Is the Sironar S 210 convertible?

The Apo Sironar-S isn't marketed as a convertible. Whether it would work converted or not, I don't know. Even the convertible doesn't work all that well in many respects. Mine has the factory 400mm scale and converted, 5x7 is about it, it gets visibly unsharp beyond that on the GG while the combined 210mm sharply covers 8x10.

There's a thread I posted when I got the lens if you search.

Cheers,

Steve
