please follow this link... to a 90mm lens.

Within this description it says about the white specs within the lens. Will this affect the images?? Negs etc?? Or is this something to stay clear of??

Thanks.

Ask for better pictures. Most of those in the listing are out of focus or there was movement when the image was being captured. It appears to be just dust, but it is impossible to discern if it is exterior or interior.

There is certainly some Schneideritis (use the search function for this term), not certain what the brighter specks are.

David's an excellent seller (and jazz musician). Ask him for more details.

Hey David,

Is this problem a no go area?? Will schneideritis effect the picture taking??

Thanks

This lens is mounted in a silver ring Copal shutter. Fuji changed to the all black Copal shutters in the 1990's. It's an older model shutter. Make sure it doesn't need a CLA.

The white specks look like "Fujiitis". A small amount of anti-reflective paint has flaked off of the edge of the lens elements. It won't effect the picture, but it will effect the resale value of the lens.

If the price is right, buy it.

Looks like Schneideritis. It's bubbles in the anti-reflection black paint. Schneider lenses are prone to, but I have two Fuji 20/30 years old exhibiting some, not as much as the 90 you are looking at, but one close. Affect resale value, not pictures.

Dust on the front surface of the lens. The flash caused it to show up as bright specks.

Right now there are at least 3 genuine 90/8 Super Angulons on Evilbay, and going for considerably less than the Fuji in question. Have you considered those?

I want to go for a lens that has a few stops down from f8, so that it is brighter on the ground glass.

Also none of the lenses are buy it now.

Thanks
