I have heard a rumour that Fuji instant 4x5 BW film would be available in the USA in March. Anyone know if this is true, and if so where would I go to buy it. Thanks.

When it is available, it will be at the normal mail order places.

Probably not til April according to my source at fuji. Do a search here for other threads on the subject. Only the 100 speed b+w in 4x5 will be available even though fuji makes several others.

Vinny, what a pity, I like the 3000 ASA film quite a bit.

Do you know if this B&W instant film is available anywhere in the world outside of Japan?

Thanks,

Kurt

here's the only place other than the occasional sale on ebay

I like that film in the small size too. Fun to play with but not at the above prices.

There not here yet. I think the b/w 100 speed will be here soon. Depends on when the boat docks and film goes thru customs and gets into the distribution system. It is for sure coming, AFAIK. Film is shipped by boat. It takes some time.

Checking in for an update--any sightings of the 4x5 B&W yet?

I'm just getting back into large format and would prefer to get the appropriate back for this right away vs. getting the smaller version and then upgrading in a few weeks...

Does anyone have any clue about pricing--for example, how much more in the full 4x5 in Japan vs. the smaller size?

for the fp-100B45 adorama.com has the best price anywhere and free shipping right now. I received my order this week. B&h as it for 10 bucks more a pack. Calumet sells it too.

I picked up a couple of packs of 100 and a couple of 3000 at Denver Pro Photo on my last trip about a month ago. The prices came out to around ten dollars a pack.

I presume this means that you could likely find it at your local photo store if there is one still around.

That's odd, I did a B&H search before I posted--Freestyle and Badger, too.--and didn't see it. Still don't see it! But, you are right, Adorama has it. $30 is too much of a difference, compared to $10 for the pack film. Bummer.

Thanks,

Badger Graphics has the FP-100c45 color film for $28.95 a 10-sheet pack, which is even cheaper than Adorama.
